2D Ultrasound

2D is the traditional ultrasound imaging used by your doctor. During medical ultrasound 2D is used to determine baby’s weight, evaluate fetal anatomy, etc. At elective ultrasound studios like ours 2D ultrasound is used to determine baby’s gender, check for hair, and determine baby’s fetal position.

3D / 4D Ultrasound

4D Ultrasound is the original imaging that first allowed moms to see their baby’s face during pregnancy. 3D ultrasound refers to the baby imaging captured from 4D ultrasound and printed out. This type of ultrasound scan is ideally done during the 2nd and/or 3rd pregnancy trimester.
